Highlights
- Desktop startup announcements can now be shown from the admin console when users open the app, giving teams a lightweight way to share important notices without interrupting the live-service workflow.
- Settings now includes a more focused Help area with support resources, product feedback access, troubleshooting links, and copyable device details for faster support conversations.
- The onboarding tour now covers more of the app: listening, breathing room controls, automatic search and presentation, reference or idea-based search, Bible workflow, lyrics, themes, and output controls.
- Lyrics handling is more deliberate: generated lyrics now include a reminder to review for accuracy, and the save/load flow supports review and editing before content is used live.
- Quote capture, staged content, and presentation previews were refined so saved moments feel easier to review, present, and trust during a service.
- The public website received a major polish pass with a richer hero product mockup, refined feature visuals, refreshed platform download icons, and publication-ready docs.
Improvements
- Added a dismissible in-app announcement banner that appears once per desktop session when an active announcement is available at startup.
- Refined support navigation so desktop links follow the current environment, making local development and published builds route to the right web shell.
- Added a support-oriented preference for helping improve recognition and detection quality while keeping the control visible to the user.
- Simplified the listening area into a slimmer audio-aware control so the main action takes less space and communicates activity more clearly.
- Improved scroll behavior in settings and Bible verse lists where scrollbars could overlap content or sit away from the container edge.
- Improved theme editor ergonomics around preview zoom, modal layout, and scrollbar placement.
- Refined generated and pasted lyrics wording, including clearer copy that the entry area can be used for pasting, writing, or typing lyrics.
- Updated the docs structure around setup, live workflow, Bible search, stage output, lyrics, quotes, themes, support, privacy, and troubleshooting.
Fixes
- Fixed desktop announcements so dismissed messages stay hidden for the current running session.
- Fixed a duplicate lyrics save/open behavior that could create two copies of the same lyrics entry.
- Fixed onboarding target highlighting so the active area remains clear instead of being dimmed with the rest of the screen.
- Fixed several layout issues where scrollbars could become hidden, overlap content, or drift outside their intended container.
- Fixed website feature copy that exposed unnecessary implementation details instead of describing user-facing outcomes.
Known issues
- Announcements are checked only when the desktop app starts. New or cleared announcements will be reflected the next time the app launches.
- Some support and feedback links require an internet connection and a signed-in account.
Notes
- This release focuses on launch polish, support readiness, and making the live-service workflow easier to understand for first-time users.
- The website and docs were intentionally updated to explain what VerseRelay does without exposing internal implementation details.
